We might as well just come out and say it: Liquid liner is scary. Or at the very least, it’s intimidating. But liquid liner really isn’t difficult to use if you have the right tools.
And, like most things, practice makes perfect…
Step 1:
Trace The Lashline
Use a pencil first to anchor the lash line and make a blueprint for your liquid liner.
Step 2:
Liquify Your Line
Next trace the pencil line with a flat angled brush dipped in liquid liner.
Step 3:
Define Lashes (Optional)
Add a swipe of any mascara you like.
Step 4:
Clean It Up
Check out your wings and make sure they’re symmetrical. For for an extra-sharp line, soak a cotton swab in makeup remover and gently slide it along the wing.
How to get this look…
“I used Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in black ink and went over it with Tarte’s Tarteist clay paint liner in black. Some drugstore comparable products would be Maybelline’s Eye Studio Lasting Drama gel liner in black or L’Oréal’s Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner in black.”
