The holidays can be overwhelming with shopping,  decorating,  holiday cards,  and  visiting folks. Instead of picking that one date in December, smack in the middle of the craziness, to host a big holiday bash, why not throw a smaller more intimate gathering where you enjoy good company and good wine. We asked  Bottle Revolution 3 sommelier Patrick Agate to choose wines worth sharing with your favorite people.

Folk Tree Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012, $24

If you’re looking for quality and mass appeal you’ve gotta include a Napa cab.  This one is well made and reasonably priced.

Christian Moreau, 2014, $28

This is the kind of chardonnay I make people taste when they tell me they don’t like chardonnay.

Flowers Pinot Noir, 2014, $43

This is a very dry version of its varietal.  It’s very tasty and everyone loves it.

Pascal Jolivet, 2014, $25.

It’s 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc and it’s dry, crisp and delicious.
