We’ve already had a couple of snow days and it’s not outside the realm of possibility that we’ll have a couple more. Be prepared for the next one with this hot apple toddy.
What you’ll need:
• 1-gallon of apple cider
• 1 One bottle of Tuaca
(Italian Liqueur)
• 5 Orange Slices
• 7 Maraschino Cherries
• 3 Cinnamon Sticks
How to make it:
In a stockpot, pour one gallon of apple cider. Add orange slices, cherries and cinnamon sticks, let simmer on the stove over low/medium heat, stirring occasionally until hot. Once the cider is hot (your house will smell yummy), you’re ready to go!
Pour 2-3 (okay, 4) ounces of Tuaca into a mug, then, using a ladle, fill the cup with your delicious hot cider, stir and serve.
*You can always add whip cream and garnish with a cherry, but I find that stuff just gets in the way!
