Do your friends currently tap you for what’s new/now/next around Raleigh? Have writing chops? If you are obsessed with and in-the-know about all-things Raleigh and can write on brand in Raleigh Magazine‘s voice, you may be able to join our cadre of accomplished contributors. We’re on the hunt for smart, savvy, accomplished writers who have vast knowledge of our city to contribute freelance stories on buzzy topics—from food and drink to design to politics to city council to events (someday!) to sports, features and more. Know AP Style? Bonus! Shoot an email to melissa@raleighmag.com (cc lauren@raleighmag.com) with the subject line “Raleigh Mag Contributor.” Must Include: Your brief relevant bio (or LinkedIn link), a previous writing sample or two (or link to your online portfolio), and one to two solid pitches that you think we would run in our upcoming issues (please name what section you think they’d fit into: Buzz, Eat, Do, Stuff, Feature). The pitch(es) should be audience appropriate, on brand, in our voice and speak to what’s buzzy in Raleigh. If you nail it, we’ll be in touch stat!
