WINE CLASS – SUPER TUSCANS, ITALIAN BLENDS
Dec 12 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
WINE CLASS - SUPER TUSCANS, ITALIAN BLENDS @ The Fearrington House Restaurant | Pittsboro | North Carolina | United States

Italy’s wine landscape exploded when Super Tuscans were released in the international market. Rich flavors combined with old world terroir and pedigree propelled this term much like what “Meritage” has done for Bordeaux Blends in California. Non-conformity to appellation rules in Tuscany drove wineries to jump ship from more well-known DOCGs such as Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino. Today, Marchesi Antinori’s Tignanello and Guada al Tasso, Tenuta San Guido’s Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Montevertine, Avignonesi, Le Macchiole, Felsina’s Flaccianello della Pieve and Fontalloro lead the pack for these highly sought after Italian wines.

Seats are at $125 per person and include wines, tasting bites, tax, and gratuity. This class will be held at the Fearrington House Restaurant taught by Beverage Director Paula de Pano.

A special offer from the Fearrington House Inn: Join us for this or any wine dinner and receive 20% off a stay at the Fearrington House Inn. Call 919.542.2121 for details.
