SUMMARY:Where Sunlight Lingers: New Paintings by Gayle Stott Lowry
DESCRIPTION:Gayle Stott Lowry’s new exhibition “Where Sunlight Lingers” draws from her recent travels through Southern Italy\, where ancient limestone structures and crystalline light sparked a fresh body of work. SUMMARY:Quiet Company: Paintings and Linocuts by Will South
DESCRIPTION:Across a body of work spanning paintings\, drawings\, linocuts\, and even wry cartoon sketches\, Will South approaches image-making as an ongoing act of attention: to the human figure\, to the small observed moment\, to the discipline of a single line. Will South’s portraits and figurative drawings reveal a hand trained by decades of looking closely at other artists’ work\, filtered through a sensibility that is unmistakably his own — direct\, unsentimental\, and quietly humane.

DESCRIPTION:Bert Sult is a North Carolina-based architect and watercolor artist who has established himself in both fields with remarkable versatility. As an architect\, he designed many notable buildings in the Raleigh area\, including Jones Chapel at Meredith College\, the Raleigh Municipal Building and Complex\, Cary Medical Center\, and the Whitaker Center. \nAs a watercolorist\, Bert Sult focuses on impressionistic watercolor street scenes from interesting locales\, with particular emphasis on European subjects.
