SUMMARY:Introduction to Solidarity-Based Mental Health Practices
DESCRIPTION:This is a Lunch and Learn 4-part series\, Introduction to Solidarity Based Practices in Mental Health. This series is offered both on *Mondays* at 3pm EST and on *Wednesdays* at 12pm EST. A certificate of completion will be awarded to attendees. \nThis series is offered by Dr. Kayte Thomas\, an LCSW in North Carolina who brings nearly 20 years of experience across advocacy\, mental health\, education\, refugee-serving systems\, and equity-centered practice. Her approach has been shaped by ongoing study with decolonial scholars\, and by a long process of learning from people\, movements\, and communities that have resisted domination – including the ways mainstream mental health practices cause harm. She offers this series as a grounded starting point for mental health professionals who recognize that what we have been taught as universal frameworks are anything but that\, and who refuse to be complicit in harming others. \nPlease sign up here and you will receive a link to join after payment is received. \nMondays – https://lnkd.in/gA98rpkg\nWednesdays – https://lnkd.in/geTYNdVV
