If this sounds like you\, you should join the JC Raulston Arboretum staff for this hands-on workshop and learn the basics about propagating woody ornamental plants by stem cuttings! \nIn this beginner workshop\, participants learn how to take stem cuttings\, what rooting hormones are\, and how to care for cuttings as they root. Participants start by learning about propagation in a classroom setting and then go out into the gardens for a brief demonstration on how to take cuttings. Back inside\, participants will try their hand at propagating using a selection of cuttings chosen by staff for optimal success. Then\, everyone leaves with a full tray of cuttings from the JC Raulston Arboretum’s collection!

DESCRIPTION:Throughout the month of June\, join us for Live Music Wednesdays in the Waverly Place Park\, 5:30pm-8:30pm. You’ll be treated to a variety of popular\, local bands playing a variety of genres. Make a date night of it or connect with friends and family. Bring a blanket and/or portable chairs to sit in the Park. Plan a late dinner at one of our restaurants or to stay after visiting one of our Waverly Place merchants. \n6/3 – Bounce Party Band\n6/10 – Island Time Band\n6/17 – The Embers\n6/24 – Heads Up Penny\nTheses concerts will be hosted light drizzle or shine. In the event of severe weather and cancelation/reschedule\, we’ll provide an update via this site and our social media profiles. \nNOTE: Wine and beer will be available for purchase on-site. Coolers and outside alcohol are not permitted.
