Wilder Visitor Center with a brief outdoor introduction covering the role fireflies play in ecosystems\, the importance of natural darkness and tips for observing these remarkable insects. Afterward\, participants will head out into the garden to watch for fireflies and learn more about their behavior and habitat. \nChildren are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. \nProgram Tip: Participants are encouraged to wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothes for being in the garden at night.
