DESCRIPTION:Marsha Burns transitioned from painting to photography in 1972\, eventually developing intimate figure studies in her Seattle studio that treated subjects as formal elements alongside light and reflective surfaces. A pivotal 1984 trip to Berlin redirected her work toward exploring personal identity through appearance\, a theme she carried through New York\, Rome\, Frankfurt\, and rural Washington State. Her authentic\, unstaged silver gelatin prints are now part of major museum collections worldwide\, including MoMA\, the Met\, and the Smithsonian.

We will start with a curvy line and then flick and blend our way to fanciful places that you create! \nEach student will receive all the supplies needed including a basic watercolor palette\, practice paper and three watercolor cards. Debra leads the entire class through examples of basic strokes and methods to create the various subjects to paint. At the end of the class\, you will leave with more confidence in watercolor painting and three beautiful cards to enjoy and share with others.
