SUMMARY:Quiet Company: Paintings and Linocuts by Will South
DESCRIPTION:Across a body of work spanning paintings\, drawings\, linocuts\, and even wry cartoon sketches\, Will South approaches image-making as an ongoing act of attention: to the human figure\, to the small observed moment\, to the discipline of a single line. Will South’s portraits and figurative drawings reveal a hand trained by decades of looking closely at other artists’ work\, filtered through a sensibility that is unmistakably his own — direct\, unsentimental\, and quietly humane.

Participants are welcome to continue to photograph and enjoy the gardens after the session\, until 8 pm. \nPhotography Walk fees include entrance fee to Moonlight in the Gardens event for the night of the class. The Photography Walk is a special preview event and takes place on an evening when the event is not open to the general public. This is an exclusive opportunity to be able to photograph the nighttime event using a tripod\, an essential tool for sharp night images.
