The City of Oaks is overflowing with New Year’s Eve activities appealing to all preferences, from elegant dinners to late-night extravaganzas to comedy specials and beyond. Translation: No matter how you want to enter the new year, there’s a soiree fit for you. We’ve rounded up our city’s best ops to ring in the new year, Raleigh style—whether that’s partying on a roof or in your pajamas at home (no shame!). Alexa, play “New Year’s Day” by Taylor Swift…

First Night Raleigh
Make your way Downtown for festivities beginning in the early afternoon (think: outdoor musical performances and a children’s celebration). Then, cap off the night with music on the outdoor main stage and fireworks—and, of course, watch the famous Raleigh acorn drop.

Rocky Top Catering NYE Gala
Celebrate New Year’s with the utmost swank at this annual New Year’s Eve party at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences feat. museum admission, food stations—NTM circulating appetizers, dessert displays, late-night snacks and an open bar, along with DJs, dance floors and photo booths to boot. Sounds like a heck of a party! 

Crawford and Son
If you’re looking for a sophisticated night out, try this four-course menu full of opulent dishes such as blue crab salad, lobster cavatelli and short rib. Opt for the wine pairings to really make it an evening to remember. 

Jolie
New Year’s in Paris? Er, close enough! Transport yourself to France via Jolie’s four-course dinner feat. mushroom tarte, halibut with caviar beurre blanc, and vanilla bean mille-feuille. Bon appetit!

Vidrio
Vibey dinner atmosphere: found. Celebrate your last supper of 2023 with a ticket to this New Year’s Eve bash that includes hors d’oeuvres, party favors and a bubbly toast at midnight. And get down with your bad self to the DJ spinning all night long in the Fiera Bar & Lounge. 

10th & Terrace
For a night that’s 10/10, grab a front-row seat to Downtown’s spectacular fireworks display at 10th and Terrace. The Merchant

Umbrella Dry Bar

The Architect

The Green Light

Heights House
Can’t make it to midnight? Join Heights House for its second annual pre-midnight NYE Bubbles & Caviar gathering complete with specialty NYE cocktails, beats from DJ Mike Forno and more.

Little City
Masks: on. This masquerade-themed all-inclusive event includes all you can eat and drink bites and bevs (think craft cocktails, beer, wine, liquor and Champagne)—plus party favors and a DJ. 

Tap Yard
Ready to welcome the new year with some bangers?! Tap in to see Vertigo take the stage and deliver a powerhouse performance of classic and contemporary rock hits before the clock strikes midnight while dancing the night (and year!) away and enjoying a Champagne toast. Talk about rockin’ into 2024!

Goodnights Comedy Club
Laugh your way into 2024 with Chris Porter of Last Comic Standing fame. And for those looking for a more exclusive experience, the comedy club has a couples package including two tickets to the show, prime booth seating, a bottle of wine or Champagne, dessert selections, and a swag bag.
