Herbivores’ dilemma solved as plant-based gastropub opens in DTR this month.

Get ready to veg out, Raleigh. A 100% plant-based gastropub and taproom is descending on DTR. After a combined 40 years of vegan culinary experimentation, 24 years in the hospitality industry and countless calories, the Element Gastropub fam is bringing their passion and dream to the City of Oaks with a concept that caters to both omnivores and vegans alike.
Originally slated for an August launch (pushed for pandemic restrictions, delayed construction and riot-related plaza damage), the good-chives-only concept is ready to bow in City Plaza in early May with its plant-powered lunch, brunch and dinner selects. Make Popeye proud with a dose of Dem’ Greenz (try the Buffalo Soldier salad), or take a world tour from the Global Street Food selects (think carnita Jak street tacos, rotating sushi special, kimchee mac)—not to mention the Grab n Go, Pubwhiches and Pint-Sized Pubsters, to name a few). And since Raleigh loves brunch, clearly, we’re repping the Hardcore Brunch items (Buffalo “chikn’” wafflewich, please)—but with the Lunchesque brunch offerings, even your pickiest brekky-hating Sunday brunch buddy’s palate’ll be pleased. Oh, and don’t forget to save room for dessert. Go big or go home with some nanner puddin’ and some Nicecream Funday.

  1. Sounds great! What date do you plan to open? My daughter will be here May 18-22 and would be so happy if your open by then.
