Midcentury mod is all the rage in 2023—and the trend doesn’t stop at fashion.

Bedrooms are for more than sleeping and sex (you heard it here first). As the ultimate sanctuary to retreat and regroup, this haven deserves a harmonious off-the-hook Zen den. And the ’70s—and midcentury modern in general—are topping the top five interiors trends evoking this rad vibe, with wooden accents and ratan ever-so-aptly sharing space in the popular pentad. Of late, “1970s bedroom-related terms have seen a 78% increase according to Pinterest Trends,” says bedroom expert Laura Burnett of Feather & Black—only accelerated by TikTok and the viral Prime release of Daisy Jones & The Six and its sweet ’70s crib designs. If you’re looking for some flower power, “succulent earth tones are an incredibly important element, particularly when placed alongside colored patterns and textures,” says Burnett—think muted oranges, rich greens and warm browns for instant nostalgia. Here, we tapped local retailers for inspo on how to get down with some midcentury mod in your own home. Can you dig it?
