In Pericles, Shakespeare tells an epic story in the tradition of the ancient Greek hero myths. We follow the titular young prince as he is forced on a journey that takes him across vast seas and to distant lands. His travels lead him to love, heartbreak, betrayal – and ultimately redemption.
