THE HARKRADER HOUSES TOUR

NCModernist and Preservation Durham have joined forces to offer a retrospective tour of six homes built by Richard and Lonna Harkrader in Durham’s Morehead Hill neighborhood. From 1972 to 2000, the Harkraders were known for building passive solar, energy-efficient homes and apartments with a distinctive architectural style. The tour runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 10, and tickets cost $10 per person. For the tour, you’ll be assigned a start time and a central starting point downtown.
