Raleigh has a strong tradition of beautiful and engaging contemporary architectural design, dating back to the opening of the School of Design at NC State in 1948. We take a look at some of the buildings and spaces that give Raleigh its distinct spirit—and at who’s creating them today—and we try to gage what the future of design has in store, given all of Raleigh’s growth and opportunities.
