Pair feminine details with more masculine silhouettes for a hip fall look.

Stay warm this fall with layers. But we’re not talking about bulky sweaters over long underwear. This season choose a refined look with a focus on the neckline. Layer a cashmere sweater over a blouse over a thin turtleneck, and elevate the whole ensemble with a silk scarf and a strand of pearls. You’ll beat the cold and look good doing it!

Mixing styles can also lead to a new, unexpected looks. Personally, I love the interplay between feminine and masculine fashions. Studded boots and punk pants paired with a soft jacket, or a ladylike skirt with a black loafer. These combinations are both surprising and stylish.

As the weather begins to cool, it’s time to bring out your collection of boots—from ankle booties to knee-length styles. We break down the different heights and what to wear with them this fall. The big trend, though, is mid-calf boots. You’ll start seeing them in all the shops locally so if you don’t have a pair, considering investing in one!
