Eye of the Tiger

Clouds Brewing partners with Carolina Tiger Rescue on a new beer to help save the tigers.

Get your claws ready—this could be a cat fight. Clouds Brewing just announced the first beer in its Silver Linings Series this year… and it’s ferocious. Brewed in collaboration with nonprofit Carolina Tiger Rescue and emblazoned with the magnificent Madonna Tiger (so vogue), Clouds’ Predators Not Pets Pilsner aims to help educate the public that these magnificent creatures are predators, not pets.

Dropping just in time for the #YearofTheTiger, the benevolent brews—with cans watercolor-painted by artist and Carolina Tiger Rescue sanctuary volunteer Eric Sweet—help Clouds extend the sanctuary’s shared vision “of a world where these beautiful creatures are no longer exploited by humans.” And that’s an idea we can all be pretty wild about.

“It’s only fair to these amazing souls not to risk their lives for any human ego,” said Sweet in a Facebook post featuring him and a tiger at the rescue. “But, man, they are majestic!”

And so, too, is the pilsner, deliciously dry-hopped with Strata hops—with 20% of the beer’s proceeds donated to the Carolina Tiger Rescue in hopes to help save these cuddly creatures. Looks like it really is the Year of the Tiger. cloudsbrewing.com; carolinatigerrescue.org
