Despite the name, you’re not dreaming—Dreamville is back in its second installment with a double dose… read: now two days of fantastic fest frenzy. After staging what was arguably Raleigh’s most iconic music fest ever in 2019 at Dix Park—and then devastating fans with a 2020 cancellation—the anticipation for the 2022 return of one of the largest artist-led fests in the country (dreamed up by NC-bred Grammy-winning multiplatinum hip-hop artist J.Cole) is palpable. “It’s exciting to finally be back,” says Adam Roy, Dreamville partner and festival president. “Ever since we wrapped our first fest, we’ve been waiting to get back to the park with our Dreamville family, [and] we had to come back bigger and better than before.” … You def don’t want to sleep on this.
