  1. Overall a good list, but I do have to take issue with Darryl’s being listed as not local. While it was later acquired by General Mills, it was started by Thad Eure, jr. and Charlie Winston. Darryl was a manager of a Pizza Inn on Hillsborough St. and well-liked by the NCSU students. He was approached by the two local restauranteurs and they built a concept around him.
